It is that time of the year that the Board of Directors will host the BYS Annual board meeting. Previously we have done this in the November timeframe, but have moved the date up so that we can have a new board elected before the Fall Ball season starts.
This year the meeting will be held on Wednesday August 19th at the Low Country Presbyterian Church Community Center at 7pm. Any and all parents and coaches are invited.
During this meeting, we will update all BYS coaches and parents on our financials and pertinent issues going on within the league. We also elect new board members at this meeting. This is also a great time for you to voice your concerns/suggestions that you think can help improve our league.
Bluffton Youth Sports board of directors currently consists of 13 members. Each Board Member takes on various roles that help the league run. Those positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Concession Director, Equipment Manager, League Commissioners, Sponsor/Fundraising Manager, etc.
BYS is 100% Volunteer run. We cannot exist without the support of our parents and community. I hear many times that people have ideas on how things can be better. There is always room for improvement with any organization, and this is exactly what we are looking for in board members; Individuals that are willing to donate some of their personal time to help the youth of Bluffton learn and enjoy this great game.
If you are interested in serving on the board, please fill out the nomination form attached and return it by August 15th. You may also nominate an individual that you think would be an asset to the league/board. We will contact that person to see if they would accept your nomination.

Hope your summers are going well. It is hard to believe, but Fall Ball baseball is right around the corner already.
Registration is now open for the upcoming Fall Ball season until 8/15/2015. We will again be offering Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch, Minors, Ozone, Dixie Boys, and all girls Softball divisions. Each division's viability for the upcoming season will be based on the final numbers of players that sign up.
Remember that Fall Ball is an instructional league, and particularly designed for players that will be moving to a higher division next Spring. This allows them to play under the new rules and level of play in a non-competitive environment. We do not keep score in Fall Ball, so this truly is a developmental season.
We will begin playing games in mid-September, and will complete play before Thanksgiving. Games will be played mostly on Saturdays, but will also include some Friday nights when the Bluffton Bobcats Football Team is away.
